Barki Pet Grooming ("Barki," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Barki website at barki.app and the Barki mobile application (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and the choices available to you.
By using the Barki website or mobile app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We collect information you provide directly and information that is generated as a result of your use of our Services.

- Account information — login credentials and account preferences created through the Barki mobile app.
- Pet profiles and grooming preferences — your pet's name, breed, coat type, grooming history, behavioral notes, and service preferences.
- Appointment information — scheduled dates, service selections, add-ons, special instructions, and appointment history.
- Payment information — payment transactions are processed through DaySmart, our third-party booking and payment platform. Barki does not store your full payment card details. Please review DaySmart's privacy policy for details on how they handle payment data.
- Customer support communications — messages, emails, or other communications you send to us when you contact our support team.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, time spent, and interactions within the website and mobile app.
- Device and technical data — device type, operating system, app version, IP address, and browser type.
- Analytics and diagnostics — we may use analytics and crash-reporting tools to understand how the Services are used and to identify and fix errors. This data is aggregated and not used to personally identify you.
- Push notification identifiers — if you opt in to notifications through the Barki app, we collect a device push token to deliver appointment reminders and updates.
- SMS consent — if you provide your mobile phone number when booking an appointment in person or online at barkisouthend.com, you consent to receive SMS text messages from Barki Pet Grooming Salon, including appointment reminders and business updates. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your Barki account.
- To schedule, confirm, and manage your grooming appointments.
- To process payments through DaySmart.
- To send appointment confirmations, reminders, and service updates.
- To respond to your customer support requests and inquiries.
- To personalize your experience based on your pet profiles and grooming preferences.
- To improve and develop the Barki website and mobile app.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent activity and security issues.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
- To send promotional communications you have opted into (you may opt out at any time).
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We share information with third-party vendors who help us operate and deliver the Services. These providers are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide their services to us.
- DaySmart — appointment scheduling, booking management, and payment processing. DaySmart processes personal and payment information on our behalf.
- Analytics providers — we may use analytics services (such as PostHog or similar tools) to understand how users interact with the Services. These providers may collect usage data under their own privacy policies.
- Push notification providers — we may use a notification delivery service to send push notifications to the Barki app.
Each third-party provider has its own privacy policy governing the data they collect and process.

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and to protect your account credentials.

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, and comply with applicable legal obligations. When your information is no longer required, we will securely delete or anonymize it. You may request earlier deletion of your data by contacting us at support@barki.app.

Our website and app may contain links to third-party websites or services, including DaySmart's booking platform. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to review their privacy policies.
